This War Torn World
Today
at 3 o’clock I checked my twitter feed, and was eye-raped by an uncountable amount
of news articles containing war related material. There were pictures of tanks in Libya, dead
bodies in Gaza, and several articles about how powerful ISIS is…ISIS is? Ha!
Try saying that 3 times fast. Journalists
are being murdered, even though documenting events in a war zone has
historically been proven to be 100% safe.
With all this killing it forces me (not Ferguson police state force) to
beg the question; will the violence reach an end before it forces our race to
an ultimate conclusion? A.K.A. a nuclear
apocalypse. Maybe it’s inevitable.
Seeking world peace is like trying to put a square peg in a round
hole. But what do you do when
accomplishing that impossible feat is a matter of survival or extinction. Violence can’t be totally extinguished
because of greed, religion, and opposing beliefs. Perhaps we will inevitably go the way of the
dinosaurs and bell bottom pants. That
may very well be the case, but I’m a human, when I’m faced with a problem I don’t
accept it, I overcome it! So how can
humanity overcome this problem? I don’t have
the answer to this undying question. I
don’t think anyone truly does. All I’m
stating is that it needs to be answered before the entire world goes into a
long winter, and I’m not speaking of climate change.
