Okay, so I've been trying to find a hobby that is not only fun and time consuming, but also potentially capable of making me a bit of that coin. So far I can tell that the majority of hobbies I enjoy can only bring me profit through contribution, or YouTube. Both of these routes take lots of time and aren't even guaranteed to work. I'm now at a point where i'm ready to commit myself to one particular hobby, for better or worse.
The hobby's that i'm considering are as follows:
Philosophy: The main reason i'm considering philosophy is because i rather enjoy reading, or listening to more often than not, philosophical works. This would include Plato, Aristotle, Freidrich Nietzsche, Immanuel Kant, and various other philosophers. I enjoy reading their works and find that they really do a good job of enriching the soul, and getting at the "guts" of what humanity really is. To profit from this hobby, I have conceived a few different paths I could pottentially traverse. 1 would be to start a YouTube channel where I go in depth about each work. The other more viable option would be to start writing about each one and really analyze each work down to the core. I could post these writings on this blog, and other philosophical forums where people can read them and give me their opinions,
Competitive Pokemon: This hobby is one that I thoroughly enjoy engaging myself in. I enjoy the strategy, the wealth of theory, and knowledge that get applied in competition. I like Pokemon a lot and would like to indulge in it further. However, while I was typing the previous paragraph, I've come to realize where my heart stands. I will pursue Philosophy to it's peak.
In conclusion, I have devised a plan. I will get a list of Philosophical works and I will start there. I will review each one and i will prepare my thoughts on each. This decision marks a new chapter in my life. I hope all of you will enjoy travelling down this road with me. Thank You.
